PhD in Cellular Biology with strong background in mitochondrial biology/toxicology and molecular biology. Postdoctoral training in gene editing tools for mitochondrial DNA point mutations in patient-derived cells and gene therapy with AAV in mouse models of mitochondrial disease. Experience with C elegans as a model system to address mechanisms of mtDNA copy number regulation, mutation persistence and heteroplasmy dynamics. More than 1 year of industrial setting experience in research programs.
