The Kwon lab focuses on understanding the biology and regenerative potential of multi-potent cardiac progenitor cells by deciphering the molecular and cellular mechanisms that control their induction, differentiation, and maintenance. Kwon's researchers developed several novel approaches to dissect the mechanisms, including the use of human pluripotent stem cells and animal models.
