Christopher A. Sharpe

Chris is a Materials Science and Engineering PhD graduate student at Northwestern University. He studies the morphological evolution of spider silk during the spinning process, with an eye towards guiding future biomimetic spinning devices. Prior research projects include chemical phase space exploration of oscillatory chemical reactions as part of chemical computer development, researching a photogalvanic system for chemical computing, nanophosphor synthesis using flame spray pyrolysis, and quaternary thin film catalyst development for fuel cell applications.
