Dr Duncan's research interest is innate antiviral immunity, with a specific focus on interferons and macrophages and their contributions to viral and inflammatory disease. His research combines mechanistic studies of inborn errors of innate immunity in patients with cutting-edge model systems, including human iPS models and mice. The goal is to understand the involvement of innate immune mediators in disease as a basis for identifying new therapeutic targets.
