I'm a scientist in the field of biomedical researcher at SickKids Hospital in Toronto and a Professor at the University of Toronto. My research focuses on understanding the fundamental basis for the genetic disease- Cystic Fibrosis and in defining strategies for targeted therapeutics. I am a leader of interdisciplinary research teams that include basic and clinical researchers. I also collaborate with pharmaceutical companies to expedite the translation of laboratory-based findings into clinically relevant interventions.
