My current research is mainly focused on applying 'omics' approaches for the identification and characterization of key microbial players in the biogeochemical cycling of nutrients in extreme environments. During the course of my career, I've had the opportunity to study microbes in diverse extreme environments. I'm particularly interested in solving metabolic puzzles in bacterial physiology.
