A. Celeste Saulo

Prof. Celeste Saulo is the Director of the Argentinean National Meteorological Service (SMN) as of July 2014 and serves as Permanent Representative of Argentina with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) since then. As of June 2019, she serves as first vicepresident of the WMO. In June 2015, she was elected member of the WMO Executive Council. Between 2011 and 2018, she was member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the World Weather Research Program (WWRP) and has previously served in different panels of the WMO related to her field of knowledge. She is full professor at the University of Buenos Aires and research scientist at the Argentinean National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET, Spanish acronym).
