For the last 15 years, I have been working on the interaction between epithelial cells and pathogens. During my PhD, I worked on the diffusely adhering Escherichia coli (DAEC) focusing on the adhesion mechanism and actin cytoskeleton reorganisation induced by the bacteria. I next joined Pr. Frankel’s Lab and study the Enteropathogenic (EPEC) and Enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC) and the proteins injected in the host cell to reorganise actin cytoskeleton, manipulate cell death and inflammation
