Cecilia Silvestri

Cecilia Silvestri, a Biological Sciences graduate, has been a researcher at ISPRA since 2003, specializing in marine waters. She's played a pivotal role in implementing the MSFD and the Ballast Water Management Convention at national and international level. She's been a key figure in EC and UNEP/MAP working groups on marine litter and non-indigenous species. In 2019, she joined an Antarctic campaign. She has contributed to numerous EU projects and authored 50+ publications.
