Catherine M Moore

I am keenly interested in assay development, be it for drug discovery or protein expression, or diagnostics. I have worked with Industrial partners to help develop novel diagnostic devices for malaria and tuberculosis. I have also designed assay systems, using heterologous expression, to screen potential drug candidates against parasitic infections. Currently, I am working on Plantibodies, which are antibodies expressed in plants and used as therapeutics. My main research focus is on developing assays which would be easily adopted in low- to middle-income countries.
