I am a Palawa (Trawlwoolway) person and registered midwife (BaSc) with public health training (PhD, MScPHP, MPH, GradCert HSM, GCIRL). Currently Director of Onemda Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Wellbeing, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne. Research interests include health equity, evidence based practice, systematic reviews, and research translation to improve maternal-child health, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. I have over 30 years experience in maternal-child health services in urban and remote Australia, and overseas with international aid agencies.
