Romain Carron

Dr Romain CARRON, MD, PhD currently works as an associate professor in the department of functional neusurgery in Marseille University Timone Hospital. He completed his neurosurgical training in Grenoble, France. He is highly specialized in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery, his main surgical areas of expertise being deep brain stimulation for movement disorders and epilepsy, SEEG for epileptic patients and vagal nerve stimulation, in addition to Gammaknife radio surgery. In terms of academic research, his main areas of interest concern the mechanisms of action of deep brain stimulation and closed loop stimulation in Parkinson’s disease, along with signal processing of intracerebral recordings derived from SEEG and the analysis of stereotactic accuracy of robotized procedures
