Carolina Navarro

I am a qualified clinical and forensic psychologist with wide experience in academia and research. I hold a position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chile (current academic leave) and I am currently a Research Fellow at the Centre for Investigative Interviewing (Griffith Criminology Institute) and the National Ageing Research Institute in Australia. My research focusses on improving clinical and forensic interventions with children and youth and influencing decision making and policy concerning the delivery of services for victims, in particular child and youth victims. My research areas include the interviewing of vulnerable people such us as children and people from different cultural backgrounds, interviewer training, child testimony, child sexual abuse, elder abuse, secondary victimisation, and hate victimisation. I have performed leadership positions in various research and practitioners multidisciplinary teams and worked in close collaboration with justice organisations, human rights bodies, law enforcement and NGOs.
