Manuel Carmona received the Ph.D. degree in the field of modelling and simulation of MEMS from the Universitat de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 2000. He has worked at Infineon with thermo-mechanical issues of memory packages and at Seiko Epson with RF devices (resonators and microswitches). Currently, he is an Associate Professor (Profesor Lector) at the Electronics Engineering Department of the “Universitat de Barcelona.” The main field of interest is the development of MEMS/NEMS, with strong focus on the use of modelling/simulation/test techniques.
