C. Malça

Cândida Malça holds a PhD (Mechanical Engineering) from the Technical University of Lisbon, and an MSc (Surface Engineering) and Mechanical Engineering Degree (Production Engineering) from the University of Coimbra. Cândida has over sixteen years of teaching experience fourteen of which in the College of Engineering of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, covering a wide variety of subjects. She has participated in several projects addressing relevant technologies that were awarded, e.g. 1st place on the National Competition on Inventions and Prototypes jointly conferred by the University of Minho and TecMinho and 1st place on the National Competition on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, jointly organized by all Polytechnic Schools of Portugal. Cândida is co-author of several international and national publications and patents. In the past, Cândida was Director of the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program at ISEC, President of the Pedagogical Council of ISEC, and Ombudsperson of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra.
