个人简介
Susana Campuzano received her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from UCM in 2004. Since 2005, she works as Professor at the Analytical Chemistry Dept. of the Chemistry Faculty of the UCM, where she is currently Full Professor and Head of the “Electroanalysis and Electrochemical (Bio)Sensors” (GEBE) research Group (UCM Group Reference 910319, previously led by José Manuel Pingarrón, current Secretary General of Universities, rated EXCELLENT by AEI in 2018). She enjoyed a Juan de la Cierva researcher contract at the CIB Margarita Salas-CSIC (2008-2009) and a Research Scholar contract in the renowned Group headed by Prof. Joseph Wang at UCSD (2010-2011). Her areas of interest include the development of multiomics and multiplexed bioelectroanalytical platforms for personalized nutrition and medicine. Her research career, recognized nationally and internationally, has pushed the limits of electrochemical biosensing to previously unexplored applications, opening pioneering lines of work focused on the development of new concepts of electroanalytical biosensing for the implementation of complementary analytical tools capable of satisfactorily responding to the great challenges currently posed by the personalized clinical diagnosis of oncological, neurodegenerative, autoimmune and infectious diseases, as well as food safety (detection of allergens and adulterations). She has (co)authored over 262 peer-reviewed papers, 20 book chapters, 5 proceedings and 262 contributions to national and international congresses/workshops. She has participated as a researcher in 22 competitive research projects and as principal investigator (PI) in 11. She has (co)supervised 16 Master´s Thesis and 25 Final Degree Projects, 1 Juan de la Cierva training, 2 Atracción Talento-Modality 2, 1 Margarita Salas-Modality 1, 10 contract workers and 26 external researchers (23 foreign, 6 Erasmus), 10 Doctoral Theses and (co)supervises another 6 in progress (1 already deposited). She has 9 granted patents and 1 patent application, has been one of the investors in the share capitals of Inbea Biosensores S.L. and MiRNAx Biosens S.L. and PI of 3 Art. 83. LOU projects. 3 six-year periods of research (2019-) and 1 of transfer (2017-) recognized. 2817 h of university teaching (UCM). Wide and consolidated network of national and international collaborators from scientific, educational, health and private institutions. Associate Editor of the international journal Electroanalysis and Member of the Editorial Boards of Anal. Bioanal. Chem., Talanta and Biosens. Bioelectron.: X. Scientific reviewer for 91 different journals. Expert evaluator of Projects for national (AEI, UNIR, UniOvi, UPV, AENOR and Ramon Areces) and international (FONDECYT, FONCyT, GACR, UIU and Antioquia University) Agencies/Institutions/Foundations. Member of RSEQ, SEQA and ISE. Treasurer of the GCTbA-RSEQ Group. Awarded with the International Prize granted by Dropsens Company for the best research work in Applied Electroanalytical Chemistry (2014) and the UCM-Roche Institute Foundation Prize in Personalized Precision Medicine in its III call (2022). First Prize to Twitter Thread entitled “Electrochemical biosensors to reduce cancer mortality” in the XI Contest of Scientific Dissemination of the UCM. Included in the 2023 Standford University´s Top 2% Scientists: rank 1,362/101,089 (“Analytical Chemistry”).
