My research activity encompasses the fields of stellar astrophysics, exoplanetary science, and Galactic archaeology. I devote a significant fraction of my time to the asteroseismic investigation of solar-type and red-giant stars, having developed a special interest in the characterization of exoplanet-host stars and the study of the assembly history of the Milky Way.

I have authored over 200 publications (including Nature and Science). I am also an enthusiastic communicator, giving frequent talks to various target groups. Furthermore, I frequently contribute to both the national and international media on research-related stories.
