Berta Caballero-Lopez

As the curator of Arthropods at MCNB, I currently combine the management of a collection containing 2 million specimens with research on agroecology in dry-land systems aimed at disentangling how agricultural intensification is deteriorating essential ecosystems services. My other main research area is the conservation of hypogean fauna, an interest stimulated by the Museum’s amazing collection derived from its pioneering research in this field that it undertaken ever since it was founded.
