个人简介
Christopher G. Pretty received the master's degree in mechanical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in bioengineering from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2002.
Before pursuing the Ph.D. degree, he worked in industry for six years. After receiving the Ph.D. degree, he joined GIGA Cardiovascular Sciences Research Group, University of Liege, Liege, Belgium, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Canterbury. He is actively engaged in robotics research for both autonomous systems and assistive robotics. Applications of his work are structural health monitoring, topographic survey, precision agriculture, as well as hybrid exoskeletons for stroke rehabilitation. His research interests include modeling, sensing, and high-accuracy localization and mapping in outdoor environments.
