C Mhiri

Chokri Mhiri received the degree in medicine from the Sfax Faculty of Medicine, Habib Bourguiba University Hospital, Sfax, in 1985, and the degree in neurosciences from Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC), France, in 1990. From 1986 to 1988, he was a Resident with the National Institute of Neurology, Tunisia. He was an Assistant Professor and then a Professor of neurology with Habib Bourguiba University Hospital, Sfax. In 1996, he was nominated as the Head of the Sfax Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology. He assumed several responsibilities in his hospital, such as the President of the Medical Board of Habib Bourguiba University Hospital, from 2008 to 2013. He participated to the publication of about 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles. His research interests include inflammatory diseases of CNS, neurogenetics, and neuromuscular disorders. He has been a member of the scientific board of the Sfax Faculty of Medicine, since 2001, and the President of Tunisian Society of Neurology, from 2002 to 2006. He was the President of the Pan Arab Union of the Neurological Societies (PAUNS), from 2017 to 2019.
