I am leading a research group at DESY, Hamburg and Helmholtz-Institute Jena, focusing on ultrafast photonics. Our activities range from laser R&D efforts involving nonlinear quasi-waveguiding concepts over high power laser and extreme ultraviolet source/frequency comb generation to novel gas-phase acousto-optics.
