Bio
BYOUNG-IL BAE is an Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT, USA. He studies how the brain develops and evolves using insights from human genetic disorders and gyrencephalic animal models. His lab will (a) elucidate the mechanism of species-specific and tissue-specific phenotypes in neurodevelopmental disorders, especially microcephaly by centrosomal defects, and (b) explore the role of neurogenesis in autism spectrum disorder.
