Bio
Bruno Matarese was born in Cagnes-sur-mer, France, in 1987. He received the Bachelor degree (cum laude) in physics in 2010 and the Master degree in physics for biology research magna cum laude, in 2012, both from the University of the Mediterranean, Aix-Marseille II, Marseille, France. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in organic light-emitting diodes for the stimulation of neurons at Imperial College, London, U.K. From 2013 to 2016, he was a Research Assistant (Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher) within the Material Chemistry Section of the Department of Chemistry, Imperial College. His research interests include organic neurooptoelectronics from the fabrication of organic semiconductor devices to their applications in neuroscience and specifically in optogenetics.
