I am an Associate Professor in Aquatic Biology at Aarhus University, Denmark. I have more than 30 years' experience in research and teaching in the fields of ecophysiology of aquatic and wetland plants, especially in the areas of photosynthesis, productivity, plant flooding tolerance, and gas exchange. Currently my two main research fields are (i) the photobiology of Arctic sea ice algae in relation to climate change; and (ii) photosynthesis and productivity of wetland plants, especially in relation to wetland restoration and paludiculture.
