He has gained knowledge and expertise in meta-analysis, network meta-analysis and randomized controlled trials.

he currently works with many international organizations supporting their guideline development projects. He serves on the executive for the Canadian Critical Care Society, the Internal Medicine Section at the Society of Critical Care Medicine and The Canadian Critical Care Trials Group.
