He specialized with honors at the University of Milan, where he carried out clinical and research activities mainly in the field of oncology and urinary stones.

During his training he carried out research and clinical in the field of andrology and infertility.

In 2017 he spent a year in the United States at the Mayo Clinic where he mainly dealt with prostate and bladder cancer. In recent years he has coordinated numerous multicentre projects on the minimally invasive treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia with laser technique and on the surgical recovery of spermatozoa in patients with Klinefelter's syndrome.

He is a member of the panel for the drafting of the European Guidelines on Sexual and Reproductive Medicine. He is also coordinator of the web commission of the Italian Society of Andrology (SIUA).

He is the author of more than 90 publications in indexed journals in urology and andrology, of book chapters and holds the role of reviewer and Associate Editor for numerous international urology journals.
