He completed a fellowship at the NIH Gerontology Research Center, as well as a fellowship in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine in the Department of Medicine and the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Bleecker is a member of several professional societies and is a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians, American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, and American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He is the author or coauthor of more than 350 abstracts and more than 310 scientific manuscripts, reviews, and book chapters.
