I want to build a grassroots awareness of Aortic Aneurysm, Aortic Dissection, Aortic Rupture, and the importance of getting patients evaluated for Aortic Disease. The goal is to avoid emergent aortic surgery which carries a higher risk than elective repair of an aortic aneurysm. Once Aortic Disease is identified, we all need to band together to support the patients, family, and friends. I helped start AORTIC BRIDGE(www.aorticbridge.org) to bring patients together so they can support eachother.
