Benjamin Bostick currently works at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University. Benjamin does research in Geochemistry, Geomicrobiology and Environmental Chemistry. He is involved in numerous field and lab studies that chronicle the environmental chemistry of metals in the environment, the biogeochemistry, human health impacts and environmental impacts of those metals. He studies experimental and field-based systems using synchrotron-based spectroscopy and other methods.
