Post MD in Pathology (2007), after serving our nation for 7 years in various capacities as pathologist & HOD, I had the opportunity to serve as an UN Volunteer Pathologist in Malawi, Africa. During the same, I also got opportunity to do multinational research trails in collaboration with University of North Carolina (UNC) Project, as the same time serving as pathologist for Ministry of Health, Malawi (assisted in setting up the first histopathology laboratory in the country) and adjunct assistant professor for UNC, Chappell hill, USA for 4 years. Post 2018 before joining back to the present national post, I also served in a rural district hospital (Alipurduar) in India, serving as a Medical Officer cum Pathologist, looking after the Thalassemia care program for the rural tribal population (diagnostic HPLC & Day care center) for 2 years. I have keen interest on learning and updating my knowledge on Oncopathology, cytology and hematology. In the past I have attended various national and international pathology conferences, seminars and workshops including the annual USCAP meeting, Thai-Japanese society conference, SAARC oncology federation conference and Indian Pathology meetings etc. I have authored and co-authored 23 national and international publications in peer reviewed journals and presented posters & papers in various national and regional conferences. Apart from my pathology works, I am also actively involved in various public health activities and teaching interns, residents and laboratory staff. I have sound knowledge in various fields of laboratory sciences apart from pathology with graded degree in hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion medicine from Armed Forces Medical college, Pune, India. I have national and international working experience with the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure, especially in resource limited settings.
