Currently working as a researcher at the Project Alchemy in Universidade Catolica Portuguesa, CBQF - Centro de Biotecnologia e Quimica Fina. The main focus is the valorization of by-products of yeast fermentation involving the creation of new biotechnology products for cosmetic and pharmaceutic industries. I have a strong background in organic acids transport across cellular membranes either in disease context (cancer) or biotechnology applications (yeast).
