Asvin P. Torres

I am a marine biologist, passionate about plankton and how the ephemeral forms of larvae adapt throughout development to different environmental sea conditions, and how each species can surprise us! I initiated for the first time the analysis of decapod crustacean larvae vertical structure and ecological implications in Mediterranean Sea. Nowadays, I am working as a larval taxonomist supporting in development of techniques independent of commercial fishery for evaluation bluefin tuna population.
