Astrid Crespo

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery (2002) from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). She has been an experimental researcher since the second year of her medical career in the laboratory of respiratory physiology at the Institute of Experimental Medicine at the UCV, as well as at Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois, USA). In 2003, she moved to Barcelona, ​​Spain. She obtained the title of “Research Sufficiency” from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2006, as an associate researcher with the Pneumology Service of Vall d ‘Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. Specialist in Family and Community Medicine by the UAB in 2007. Specialist in the year 2012 in Pneumology by the UAB, in the Hospital of Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Doctor in Medicine by the UAB in 2016. Qualification: Excellent-Cum Laude. She has participated in several research projects, congresses, papers and has published more than 50 original articles, reviews and book chapters in Pneumology, mainly in the area of ​​Asthma. She is a reviewer of the Journal “Archivos de Bronconeumología” and Associate Editor of the “Asthma Journal” of the Asthma Area of ​​the Spanish Society of Pulmonology (SEPAR). Member of the executive committee of the area of ​​asthma of the SEPAR since June 2014. Clinical Associate Professor of the subject MIC II of Pulmonology of the Societat Catalana de Pneumologia. Since July 2014, she is Associate Physician of the Pneumology Service of the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital, Barcelona, ​​full time and indefinite.
