Ariel Sobarzo

I studied pathogen-host immune interaction of zoonotic diseases, particularly viral hemorrhagic fevers. Focusing on members of the filoviridae family, specifically the Sudan virus (SUDV), I investigated the mechanism of long-term immunity in human survivors. Since 2019, I have also been in gage in effort to develop improved humanized animal models to generate pre-clinical platforms for treatment evaluation studies for cancer patients.
