Ao Luo

Ao Luo received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Microelectronics, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. From 2010 to 2015, he was a Senior Engineer with Marvell Technology, Shanghai, China, where he worked in the development of front-end signal processing chip for next-generation hard disk drive. He joined the research team of the Hardware Security and Cryptography Lab, Tsinghua University, in 2015, and as the Technical Team Leader, he developed the hardware security evaluation framework for complex CPU chip and worked with Montage to implement it in Jintide—the first commercial CPU with runtime full physical signal-based behavior checking and hardware vulnerability detection enhancement. He is also a registered expert in ISO/IEC SC27 WG3. He is a Co-Founder and the CEO of CataMicro, Beijing, China—a start-up focusing on hardware security and trusted computing technology.
