I am currently working at Mater Research at the Translational Research Institute investigating the role of immune cells can play in recovery post chemotherapy or ionizing radiation therapy induced cytotoxic injury. The bone marrow is highly susceptible to this type of injury and I aim to understand the mechanisms behind the injury, and more importantly the recovery process by targeting both the reduction of therapy induced injury and improve stem cell transplantation.
