Andrei did his PhD work in the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers, an INSERM research unit in the center of Paris, linked to the Sorbonne University (UPMC & Paris Descartes University). His work focused on deciphering the role of two proteins in the pathogenesis of hepatic stellate cell activation and liver fibrosis in the context of metabolic diseases (NAFLD, NASH, diabetes).
