Andrea Walpersdorf

Andrea Walpersdorf received the Ph.D. degree in geophysics from ENS Paris, Paris, France in 1997, and the Habilitation degree in 2008 from the University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France. She is currently an Observatory Physicist with the Grenoble Observatory for Earth and Universe Sciences, Institute for Earth Sciences (ISTerre), Giéres, France. Since 2017, she is an Executive Director of the French national seismological and geodetic network Resif. Her research interests are high precision GNSS positioning with applications in active tectonics (slow deformation in the Alps, regional deformation and fault slip rates in Iran, silent earthquakes in Mexico, transient deformation in Kamchatka), glacier dynamics from the interannual to the subdaily time scale, and GPS methodology (meteorology and tropospheric corrections of satellite radar images).
