Masahiko Ando

Masahiko Ando received the B.S. degree in physics from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, and the Ph.D. degree in science and engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 1986 and 1995, respectively. He has been in Hitachi Research Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd., Ibaraki, Japan, since 1986, where he has researched electronic devices and materials for flat-panel displays such as inorganic electroluminescent devices, amorphous-silicon TFT, in-plane switching TFT-LCD, amorphous indium-tin-oxide films, and organic TFT. Since 2002, he has been with the Advanced Research Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd. and “Advanced Organic Device Project,” Optoelectronic Industry and Technology Development Association, Ibaraki, where he has researched printable organic TFT for flat-panel display application.
