Anders Baun

Anders Baun is professor in risk assessment of nanomaterials and head of the Section for Circularity and Environmental Impact at the Department of Environmental and Ressource Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. He is an ERC grantee (Consolidator Grant 2011-2016) and is the author of more than 300 scientific peer-reviewed contributions (130 of which are ISI papers) and has presented his research at more than 75 international conferences. He served as associate editor for the highly ranked journal Water Research (2004-2008) and has since 2012 been associate editor for Nanotoxicology. He has been an expert member of the steering committee of the Swiss National Research programme for nanomaterials. In 2008 he received the Environmental Award (40,000 Euro), in 2011 the Equinor Prize (13,000 Euro) and in 2012 the World Cultural Council's for his research in environmental effects of nanomaterials. In 2009 he was awarded the “PhD Supervisor of the Year” award at DTU.
