Dr Madu was an Associate Director in the Institute of Molecular Medicine and Infectious Diseases, of the University of Nigeria. He is a Consultant Haematologist and a Professor of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, with the Department of Haematology and Immunology. His research interests is Sickle cell disease, multiple myeloma, lymphomas and tumour genetics.
