Anastasia Susie Mihailidou

Dr Anastasia Mihailidou is a Clinical Scientist in the Department of Cardiology and runs the Diagnostic Service for Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring. Anastasia is also Head of the Cardiovascular & Hormonal Research Laboratory, Kolling Institute and Honorary Senior Lecturer, Macquarie University. Her research is a combination of translational basic and clinical studies, focusing on the regulation of steroid hormone receptors in the heart, blood pressure measurement and regulation in hypertension. In recognition of her research contributions, in 2012 Dr Mihailidou was invited by the American Heart Association (AHA) as Fellow of the AHA and the Council of Basic Cardiovascular Sciences Council. Fellowships are reserved for “scientists and physicians with a demonstrated record of meritorious research in basic cardiovascular science."
