Dr Devanand was trained in interventional bronchoscopy and clinical ethics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre, Harvard Medical School and Thoraxklinik, University of Heidelberg. He has clinical interests in rigid bronchoscopy, advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy, sarcoidosis and medical thoracoscopy.
