Alexandre Campos

Alexandre Campos received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Santa Maria, Brazil, in 1981, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil, in 1986, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 1994. Since 1991, he has been with the UFSM, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. He has broad experience in numerous fields in electrical and computer engineering, with special research interest in electronic ballasts, active power filters, embedded systems, wireless sensor and actuator networks, and signal processing. Recently, he has been involved with education methodologies using entrepreneurship as a basis. He is an experienced CEFE specialist.
