Alemayehu Nana Koya is a visiting scientist at Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his Ph.D. degree in optics from Changchun University of Science and Technology in 2017 with the support of Chinese Government Scholarship. Subsequently, he had been a postdoctoral researcher at Chinese Academy of Sciences and Italian Institute of Technology for 4 years. His research interest includes exploring the optical properties of plasmonic nanostructures and exploiting their potentials for biosensing, optical manipulation, and enhanced spectroscopy. Dr. Koya is the recipient of CAS PIFI Visiting Scientist Fellowship in 2023 and CSC Outstanding International Student Award in 2017.
