个人简介
My team is developing functional ultrasound imaging (fUSI) for basic and clinical neuroscience research with many collaborators worldwide. We create and validate innovative hardware and software fUSI solutions for a more comprehensive view of brain circuits at a large scale in behaving animals and humans. At a fundamental level, we are investigating the role of specific cell types in neurovascular coupling (NVC) better to understand the links between blood flow and neural activity. The NVC is impaired in aging and several pathologies, including stroke, Alzheimer's Disease, brain tumors. The fUSI technology has unique assets and can be easily combined with electrophysiology and tools for circuits interrogation (opto/pharmaco-genetics) to get new insights and targets to cure the brain.
