Marine Biologist, PhD in Biological Sciences , scientific researcher, Head of Marine Ecology and Biology Department of NIMRD “Grigore Antipa”, Constanta, Romania. His professional background include: Ecological and biological studies on marine macroinvertebrates; Assessment and exploration of marine habitats by SCUBA scientific diving; Implementation of Descriptors 1&6 (marine macroinvertebrates, benthic habitats and cetaceans) following the Marine Strategy Framework Directive requirements. Since 2020, he was designated by the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, National Expert in the Scientific Committee of the Agreement on the Conservation of Cetaceans of the Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea and contiguous Atlantic area (ACCOBAMS). He collaborated as well in several European projects including CE/PC7 ODEMM - Options for Delivering Ecosystem-base Marine Management, CE/DG Environment MISIS - MSFD Guiding Improvements in the Black Sea Integrated Monitoring System, CE / PC7-OCEAN-2011 PERSEUS - Policy – oriented Marine Environmental Research for the Southern European Seas.
