Abdul Rehman Zia Zaidi

Dr. Abdul Rehman Zia Zaidi is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Family & Community Medicine, College of Medicine, Alfaisal University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was also the Corporate Medical Administrator and Physician at Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group and the Editorial Manager of the Journal of Applied Hematology. He also served as a physician and clinical research associate at the Department of Medicine, King Fahad Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and is licensed as a general practitioner by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. He has more than 6 years of clinical and research experience in Saudi Arabia and North America. In his career, he has practiced in leading medical institutions such as King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, King Fahad Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Presence St. Joseph Hospital, Joliet, IL, Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL, Health Unit at Davidson Avenue (HUDA) Detroit, MI, USA, Peter Munk Cardiac Center, Toronto General Hospital (UHN) Toronto, ON, Canada, Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, USA, and Cancer Center, Presence Saint Francis Hospital Evanston, Illinois, USA. He has published more than 50 research papers on hematology, internal medicine, medical education, medical informatics, and thrombosis in leading journals such as Blood, Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma and Leukemia, and Cureus, among others. He is currently a candidate for MBA (Global Healthcare Management). He has completed Healthcare Management from The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health, Healthcare Informatics from The University of Chicago Graham School, Chicago, IL, USA and holds MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), from the College of Medicine, Alfaisal University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has presented various oral presentations and posters at multiple conferences and scientific conventions. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), Canadian Medical Association (CMA), European Hematology Association (EHA), International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), World Medical Association (WMA), Saudi Society for Blood Disorders (SSBD), American College of Physicians (ACP), and American Society of Hematology (ASH) and is the recipient of multiple awards since he was a medical student, including a plaque shield for serving as Head, Student Affairs and Batch President for Year 4 Males at the College of Medicine by Alfaisal University in 2015.
