My research is focused on the theory and applications of Machine Learning (ML) and Computational Intelligence techniques. The application fields included Astrophysical and Genetical data mining, analysis of data coming from Wireless Sensor Networks. I'm also interested in Internet of Things (IoT) applications and ubiquitous computing concepts. More recently, I'm interested in the study of mathematical and statistical models for the risk assessment related to the release of Genetic Modified Organisms (GMOs) in the environment and the development of software tools to accomplish this task and, more generally, in the advances of Environmental and Ecological domains through Machine and Deep learning (DL).
