Bio
Andriy I. Lyubchyk, accomplished his PhD degree in 2013 at New University of Lisbon, Lisbon in the field of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering. Since 2013 till 2019 worked as a Post Doc at UNINOVA - Instituto de Desenvolvimento de Novas Tecnologias in the group of Advanced Functional Materials for Micro and Nanotechnologies.
Currently Dr. Andriy Lyubchyk running start-up company CASCATACHUVA LDA aimed at Humidity to electricity conversion technology development.
Current research interests
1. Chemical Engineering
• Kinetics, thermodynamics and mechanism of the adsorption processes from
gaseous and liquid phases;
• Development and production of the porous materials and composites;
• Natural gas adsorption and separation;
2. Materials Science
• Nanopowder design and application;
• Nanomaterials (nanocarbons composites and metal organic frameworks (MOFs))
design and application;
• Ceramics;
• Advanced organic materials for nanoelectronics;
3. Industry-oriented Research
• Humidity to electricity conversion systems;
• Air purification systems based on advanced nanomaterials;
• Electrochromic materials for for display boards;
• Waste recovery and re-used (including biomass, petroleum and wood
preservation industry and waste). Application to the Leather/Textile and Metals
Production Industries;
4. Modeling of Chemical Processes
• Theoretical calculations of the gases adsorption on porous materials;
MOFs;
5. Renewable Energy
• Thin film solar cells;
• Humidity to electricity conversion.
